Poetry Unbound podcast

Earlier this year I discovered the Poetry Unbound podcast by Pádraig Ó Tuama, which is affiliated with the OnBeing project. I’m thrilled that I arrived late to this particular party, as there are so many episodes sitting there, waiting to be discovered.

Ó Tuama’s incredibly thoughtful selection, reading, and exploration of each poem is completely absorbing.

These are just a few favourites from my recent listening:

Little Children, by Caroline Bird

Crossing Half of China to Sleep with You, by Yu Xiuhua

Praising Dark Places, by Yusef Komunyakaa

Eurydice, Turning, by Rita Dove

On Being now offers a greatly expanded section on poetry, including interviews with poets and a larger poetry archive. Now I just need more time!
